You don't need to care about fashion. You need a system.
This site is for the guy who's 35, has a job and a life, and just wants to stop feeling underdressed. Here's everything, in the order that matters.
Rule 1
Fit beats everything
A $15 tee that fits looks better than a $150 one that doesn't. Shoulder seams sit on your shoulders, and hems end mid-fly.
Rule 2
Fewer colors, more navy
Navy, white, grey, olive, beige and brown all go with each other. Build from those and every piece matches every other piece.
Rule 3
One formula per situation
Figure out once what you wear to the office, on a date and at a wedding. Then stop thinking about it.
Rule 4
Clean shoes, plain clothes
No big logos, no distressing, no chunky gym sneakers with jeans. Plain always looks more expensive.
Rule 5
Replace, don't accumulate
When the tee's collar ripples, replace it. A small wardrobe in good shape beats a big one full of tired pieces.

Common questions
- How can I dress better if I have no interest in fashion?
- Treat it as a system, not a hobby. Get the fit right, stick to a few colors that all match (navy, white, grey, olive, beige, brown), and pick one outfit formula per situation you face. Then repeat them.
- What clothes does every man need?
- About twelve pieces cover most of life: white and navy tees, an oxford shirt, a knit sweater, dark jeans, beige chinos, grey trousers, an overshirt or light jacket, a navy blazer, white leather sneakers, brown boots or loafers, and a plain leather belt.
- How much should I spend on clothes?
- Less than you think. Spend on what you wear most and what's seen first (shoes, jeans, a jacket) and save on basics like tees, where fit matters more than price.
